Point additional domain names to an existing website without duplicating files.

Domain pointers (also called domain aliases) let multiple domain names display the same website content without maintaining separate file copies.

Create a domain pointer

  1. Go to Account Manager → Domain Pointers.
  2. Select the source domain (the domain that already has content).
  3. Enter the pointer domain name you want to alias.
  4. Choose whether the pointer includes www.
  5. Save the pointer.

DNS requirement

The pointer domain must have its DNS pointed to your DanumHost server — either by using our nameservers or by adding the appropriate A record at your registrar.

SSL for pointer domains

After DNS is active, install an SSL certificate for the pointer domain under SSL Certificates so visitors can access it over HTTPS.
