Domain pointers (also called domain aliases) let multiple domain names display the same website content without maintaining separate file copies.
Create a domain pointer
- Go to Account Manager → Domain Pointers.
- Select the source domain (the domain that already has content).
- Enter the pointer domain name you want to alias.
- Choose whether the pointer includes
www. - Save the pointer.
DNS requirement
The pointer domain must have its DNS pointed to your DanumHost server — either by using our nameservers or by adding the appropriate A record at your registrar.
SSL for pointer domains
After DNS is active, install an SSL certificate for the pointer domain under SSL Certificates so visitors can access it over HTTPS.
