Password-protected directories require visitors to enter credentials before viewing content — ideal for staging sites or private downloads.
Protect a directory
- Go to Advanced Features → Password Protected Directories.
- Select the domain.
- Navigate to the folder you want to protect (for example
/private). - Enable password protection for that directory.
- Create a username and password for authorized users.
- Save.
Testing
Visit the protected URL in a private browser window. You should see a login prompt. Share credentials only with intended users. Remove protection when the content should be public again.
