Edit A, CNAME, MX, and TXT records for your domains in DirectAdmin.

DirectAdmin includes a DNS editor for domains that use the server nameservers.

Open DNS management

  1. Go to Account Manager → DNS Management.
  2. Select the domain you want to edit.
  3. Review existing A, CNAME, MX, and TXT records.

Common record types

  • A — points a hostname to an IPv4 address.
  • CNAME — aliases one name to another.
  • MX — mail exchange records for email delivery.
  • TXT — SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and verification records.

Best practices

Only change records you understand. Keep a note of original values before editing. DNS changes can take up to 24–48 hours to propagate worldwide. If your domain uses external nameservers, edit DNS at your registrar instead of DirectAdmin.
