Change your cPanel password and review account security settings.

Keeping your cPanel password strong and current is essential for protecting your DanumHost hosting account, email, and website files.

Change your password

  1. Go to Preferences → Password & Security.
  2. Enter your current password, then a new strong password twice.
  3. Use the password strength indicator — aim for a high score.
  4. Click Change your password now!

Password tips

  • Use at least 12 characters with mixed case, numbers, and symbols.
  • Do not reuse passwords from other services.
  • Store passwords in a reputable password manager.

Additional security

Enable Two-Factor Authentication under Security for stronger login protection. Update FTP, email, and database passwords when you change your main cPanel password if they share the same credentials.
