Installing and Managing SSL Certificates

Install free AutoSSL or Let's Encrypt certificates and manage HTTPS for your domains in cPanel.

cPanel makes it easy to secure your websites with HTTPS using free AutoSSL certificates or your own custom SSL.

Install a free SSL certificate

  1. Go to Security → SSL/TLS Status or SSL/TLS.
  2. Find the domain you want to secure in the list.
  3. Click Run AutoSSL or enable AutoSSL for the account if it is not already active.
  4. cPanel requests and installs the certificate automatically once DNS is correctly pointed to your server.

Force HTTPS

After installation, go to Domains → Domains, click Manage next to the domain, and enable Force HTTPS Redirect so visitors are always redirected to the secure version of your site.

Custom certificates

If you purchased an SSL from a certificate authority, go to Security → SSL/TLS → Manage SSL Sites, paste the certificate, private key, and CA bundle into the appropriate fields, and save. AutoSSL certificates renew automatically on DanumHost servers.
