Creating Hosting Packages in WHM

Create WHM packages so you can offer hosting plans from your DanumHost reseller dashboard.

A WHM package is the resource template used when you create a cPanel account (disk, bandwidth, addon domains, email, and feature list). Your DanumHost reseller dashboard needs at least one package on the server before you can link a product to it. If the list is empty, create packages in WHM first.

You need WHM, not only cPanel

Package creation is a WHM (Web Host Manager) reseller task. A standard cPanel user login cannot add packages. Open WHM from your reseller service (typically port 2087) or the WHM link DanumHost provides.

Create a package

  1. Log in to WHM.
  2. Go to Packages → Add a Package.
  3. Enter a short package name (for example bronze or starter). This is the name DanumHost shows in the server-package list.
  4. Set disk quota, bandwidth, addon domains, subdomains, email accounts, databases, and other limits you sell.
  5. Choose a feature list if your WHM account offers one.
  6. Click Add. Repeat for each plan you offer.

You can change limits later under Packages → Edit a Package. Existing cPanel accounts on that package pick up the new limits when WHM applies them.

Link it in DanumHost

  1. Return to the reseller dashboard Business information section.
  2. On the product row, click Edit.
  3. Choose the WHM package you just created and save.

If you only have a cPanel user account and no WHM, contact DanumHost support — reseller hosting must include WHM before you can define packages. For the dashboard steps, see Linking a Hosting Product to a Server Package.
